Caloundra Community Centre Inc, is a registered charity and governed by a volunteer management committee.
Our Mission
To walk alongside people and communities towards social and structural change
Community Support
Caloundra and Baringa Community Centres play a vital role in the communities by providing diverse and essential support services. We offer programs like community development, individual support, financial support, and suicide prevention in communities. We foster a sense of belonging and unity, making a positive impact on local residents' lives.
COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT
If you have an idea, issue or concern about your community we could support you to address it. We use a community development framework to support and empower small changes that might have a big impact to the broader community.

We strive to respond to the needs and interests of the community by responding and implementing groups, workshops or resources as the need or issue is identified.

We always strive to develop collaborative relationships with you as well as all levels of Government and the wider community services sector.
FINANCIAL
SUPPORT
The Centre receives funding from Federal and State Government to assist you if you are in need of emergency financial relief. We can assist with a small amount of food vouchers, as well as pantry items, and fresh produce provided to us by OZHarvest.

We can also support you with Non-Interest Loan Scheme (NILS) applications of up to $1200

If you are experiencing financial stress contact the Centre.
DIVERSE
QUEENSLAND WORKFORCE
(DQW)
The Diverse Queensland Workforce represents Queensland Government's commitment to an inclusive and diverse workforce, ensuring individuals from culturally diverse backgrounds are supported to participate in the economy. Support is delivered at Baringa, Caloundra and Nambour Community Centres to community members living on the Sunshine Coast.

SUPPORT FOR COMMUNITY
MEMBERS
If you are struggling with personal issues, mental health, financial pressures, loneliness or other life's stresses we might be able to help. We have a team of community and social workers who can provide emotional support, link you to one of our programs or provide a referral to a partnering organisation.
FAMILY
SUPPORT
Provides early intervention and prevention programs to families with young children. The program is strengths-based and family-centred, supporting families living in the greater Caloundra area and as further north as Buderim.
HINTERLAND COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM
The Hinterland Community Development Program supports individuals, groups and local community centres to develop initiatives that build connected, resilient communities.

The program works mainly between Glass House Mountains and Mooloolah and up to Maleny.
There is always an interesting project brewing, people to be connected, joint learning to be had and new relationships to be nurtured and formed in this dynamic space.
SUICIDE PREVENTION IN COMMUNITIES (SPIC)
Do you want to play a part in Suicide Prevention?
The SPIC network is always looking to connect with local people who are interested in creative responses to suicide prevention.
We support communities to bring awareness and courageously reduce the stigma and shame associated with suicide.

PETS FOR LIFE
Pets for Life is a service to people who live in the Sunshine Coast and Noosa region who would like support with caring for their companion animal.
Volunteers are connected with pet owners who wish to participate in the program and are seeking assistance with practical tasks such as dog walking, changing a litter tray or administering simple medication.
