Grandparents as Parents

If you are a grandparent with the primary care of your grandchildren (in a formal or informal capacity), we organise regular peer support meetings, social activities, and school holiday activities. Please contact the Centre to check your eligibility.

Peer Support: 

Monthly opportunities for Grandparents to connect with other Grandparents who have a shared experience of raising their grandchildren. 

During the school holidays, opportunities for the Grandchildren to meet each other and know they are not alone in being raised by grandparents 
 

One-on-one support: 

GAP Family Support Workers offer one-on-one support, and assist families in navigating systems such as Child Safety, Services Australia-Centrelink, family court, NDIS, and Schools

Information Sessions relevant to grandfamilies, Parenting Courses, and monthly GAP newsletter.
