What’s your background? Over the last decade, Natasha has been a Community Development Worker supporting  community groups across Glasshouse Country. Prior to this, Natasha worked at national, state, regional and local levels in the community-based natural resource management sector. Natasha holds a Bachelor of Social Science (Community Development) with Honours (Class 1) and completed an honours thesis on what makes community-environmental groups most effective. Natasha has also always been deeply embedded in volunteering and
supporting local communities.


What do you love about CD work/what we do? I love being part of the community lives of so many dedicated and passionate people in Glasshouse Country. 

 

What do you love about working alongside our Glasshouse Country groups? It is a privilege and a joy to work alongside a range of community groups in our local area, particularly being part of the journey over time with such wonderful people, connecting across groups and overall, strengthening our local community.

What’s your background? Worked and volunteered in multiple sectors including hospitality, tourism, disability and various rescued animal welfare organisations. The skills and experiences these roles offered have significantly shaped how I work alongside community.  Returned to study in 2010, Bachelor of Social Science (Development Studies).  Started working in CD in 2013, and in Glasshouse Country area from end 2017.  Also a local living in the Glasshouse Country area 

 

What do you love about CD work/what we do? Observing how casual conversations
can spark ideas that lead to meaningful, locally-relevant projects and actions that
have real personal and collective impact

What do you love about working alongside our Glasshouse Country groups? Getting to know so many interesting people.  I admire their enthusiasm and commitment to co-creating vibrant, diverse, liveable communities.

What’s your background? An experienced communication professional focused on community engagement, collaboration and raising local community awareness and capacity through connection, story and knowledge sharing. Extensive experience working across a diversity of sectors nationally and internationally alongside a diversity of stakeholders including government organisations, community groups, business and industry organisations and volunteers. Experience covering all media, stakeholder engagement, event and project management, administration, customers service and workplace health and safety supporting both the corporate, community
development and association project delivery space.

 

What do you love about CD work/what we do? I genuinely get excited to be able to engage and work alongside our local community groups to support their journey and assist and empower them to further build their resilience and capacity.


What do you love about working alongside our Glasshouse Country groups? I love being able to share knowledge, and get to know more about the wonderful people behind our local community groups. I feel incredibly fortunate to be able to both live and work within our Glasshouse Country community.
