Family Support Program
Provides early intervention and prevention programs to families with young children. The program is strengths-based and family-centred, supporting families living in the greater Caloundra area and as further north as Buderim.
The program includes:

The Home Visiting Program, provides parents with an opportunity to have scheduled visits by a worker into the home at a time that suits the family.

Parenting Courses - evidence based courses including: Parent Effectiveness Training, Bringing up Great Kids, Circle of Security, Tuning into Kids, Tuning Into Teens.

Informational and Referral Pathways.

Supported & Community Playgroups.

Family Wellbeing Program also provides early intervention and prevention programs to increase skills and families' capacity to achieve sustainable outcomes. As part of this program the GAP peer support program encourages Grandparents who are the primary carer of their Grandchildren to meet regularly for peer support activities including guest speakers, coffee catch ups, monthly BBQs and school holiday activities for the the Grandparent families. All activities are attended and supported by a Family Worker.

Caloundra Secondary Family Support Program provides worker support to families to build capacity, promote positive choices & changes and provide linkages to community groups & support services. Families can self refer the criteria being that they live in the greater Caloundra area and have a child under 18 years of age. Please call the Centre for further information of this program.
